About the Role
As a Scrap Metal Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying and procuring goods from scrap metal and salvage yards. Your main duties include:
1. Establishing and maintaining procurement relationships with industrial accounts, scrap dealers, light industrial customers, repair shops, and demolition projects.
2. Sourcing new suppliers and procuring materials.
3. Determining the external material needs of the company.
4. Negotiating prices and arranging the purchase and transport of goods.
5. Expanding business activities and increasing company profits.
Requirements
Must possess strong sales skills and be committed to developing long-term customer relationships.
Must have excellent multitasking abilities, time management skills, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, telephone etiquette, and computer literacy.
